In the image is a key card to enter the parking lot. Once you enter the loft, the key card is directly n your left side on the table. The picture of the parking lot is the side you should enter when driving a car.

This is the main entrance and exit of the parking lot (24hr access). Once you arrive at the entrance gate, use the RFID card to tap the “Scan” button with the key card (RFID). The large red square indicates where you should park. I recommend parking closer to this building so that you can easily walk to the entrance. After 9 pm every night, there is a black metal gate that closes and has a padlock on it. You will use the actual small key on the key chain to unlock the gate and proceed through.

The Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes is an annual musical holiday stage show presented at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Located at 2 Center St in Newark. Fine-dining spot has a South African wine list and a contemporary take on Kenyan cuisine. It’s a polished and colorful space for a polished and colorful crowd. Swahili Village not only attracts the audiences attending events at NJPAC across the street, but also those who make the trip for its East African-infused menu and creative cocktail list. Five Corners Ristorante

Located at 10 Wilson Ave (15 min Walk). Modern venue serving Italian classics and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, plus cocktails.

While Italian food is not unusual for Newark, it’s not as common in the Iberian/South American haven that is the Ironbound. But in this striking corner space, Kreshnik Berisha, a Rutgers-Newark graduate and resident, along with his business partner, hospitality professional David Khabuliani, serves a classic Italian menu. Expect seafood risotto and chicken marsala, and a cocktail list with obvious touches of neighborhood influence, like the Jersey Devil, a blend of cachaca, chile, lime, Campari, and agave. Established in 1980, Forno’s has become a prominent institution in the Iberian culinary scene, despite its location in the Ironbound neighborhood, which has undergone continuous transformation over the past two centuries. Often referred to as “traditional” or “classic,” Forno’s maintains its appeal, offering a consistent and slightly elevated dining experience that attracts a loyal clientele.

The restaurant boasts a diverse selection of eight paella varieties, with the seafood paella being a particular favorite among seafood enthusiasts. Additionally, Forno’s caters to group dining occasions with its family-style menu.

SIHANA CAFE

Situated at 71 Ferry St, this trendy cafe is conveniently located within a six-to-eight-minute walk from the ferry terminal. It offers a delightful ambiance with an art-filled space, complemented by a diverse menu featuring coffee, desserts, and vegetarian options. The cafe caters to breakfast, lunch, and early dinner preferences.

The name Sihana derives from an ancient language meaning “like the moon” in the literal sense and “celestial/heavenly or ideal state” in the metaphorical. Driven by our name, we set out to create an oasis where guests can enjoy healthy food first and foremost but also be inspired by the creativity that went into developing our concept. It harbors art from prominent local artists and its walls are a witness to more than a century of life of diverse communities in Newark. The aesthetic is a grandiose gesture to the preservation of the building whilst adding layer of colors, shapes, and different materials to the overall concept.

Checkout Time

Checkout time is 11am.  Should you require a later check-out please let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate. If we have guests arriving that day we most likely will not be able to provide a late checkout.

Checkout Process

Before your departure, we would appreciate if you would take care of the following:

• Please make sure the key card for the parking lot and the key to the gate are left on the table by the door on the leaf-shaped dish.
• Do not leave any types of food on the floors, put food in the garbage can
• Garbage – please place all garbage in the trash can in the kitchen or drop it in the green dumpster outside
• Dishes – Place all dishes in the sink so they can be washed
• Towels and linens… You don’t need to wash those items.
• Please do a final walk-through to make sure you left nothing behind, we aren’t responsible for items left after your departure

There is a fire extinguisher located in the kitchen between the Kitchen Counter and the microwave.

For emergency services (ambulance, police, fire) please immediately call 911. Do not delay if you feel an emergency situation has arisen. State your location as 61 New Jersey Railroad Ave. Newark, NJ.

House Rules:

– Strict NO PARTY Policy – Apartment equipped with a noise level reading device. The device “Does not” record audio or conversations. It only reads decibel (db) levels of noise to determine parties. If there is an unauthorized event, you will be removed promptly with no refund.

– Courtyard may not be used by rental guests. The usage for the courtyard is only for emergency exit situations ONLY…  If you need to use the courtyard for anything outside of what is mentioned above, prior approval will be needed and that would be an extra fee for usage. If you have guests, they cannot be in the courtyard either. Access would be an extra charge that would be paid the HOA board for usage.

– DO NOT leave the door open. That’s an invitation for insects and flies that we nor following guests would want to have inside the apartment.

– Commercial Photography and Filming is allowed but must be presented and approved prior to confirming the booking. If you book with the intent of not being transparent, we reserve the right to remove you from the property promptly. All commercial photography and filming is charged by an hourly rate and that varies based on load in, the amount of participants, and there is a 5hr minimum. We will not provide Short Term Rental/Vacation Rental  rates for these types of functions. (Airbnb, VRBO, Google Vacation Rental, Booking.com, trips.com, etc)

– Adult Film Productions are Strictly Prohibited

– Smoking and vaping inside the loft is completely prohibited. $300 per day smoking fee if rules are broken.

– Internet access is included in your booking. You are responsible for its usage, so please refrain from engaging in any illegal activities such as downloading, streaming, or accessing copyrighted content. Failure to comply may result in legal consequences, and your information will be provided to the appropriate authorities based on the dates of your stay.

– Self Check-in Smart Lock.  You certify that you are willing and able to follow the instructions that you are provided through the house manual or check-in guide. You also certify that you will not contact your host prior to reading your house manual. You would be provided instructions and a code on the same day as check in. In most cases, you will be greeted on arrival unless I am not available.

–  Guest ages: All ages are allowed in the space and the loft is not childproof. Furniture and tables have squared edges. We aren’t responsible for any injury.

– Quiet Hours: For the comfort of all residents in our building, no loud noises in the apartment after 10 pm and before 8 am. This means loud music shouldn’t be heard in the common areas of the building. Guests aren’t allowed to be in the courtyard unless there is an emergency.

– Additional Guests cannot stay overnight than what you quoted in your reservation. Guests can have visitors during the duration of their stay. Visitors will not be permitted to stay overnight under no circumstances.

– Guest visitors: If you are expecting additional guests, you have to make us aware and it has to be approved. The reason for this is that more guest uses more supplies that the loft comes stocked with.

– 7 or more guest in total for any reason, this is considered an event therefore you will be subject to event pricing which is an hourly rate.

– No Animals without prior consent. There would be an extra fee of $150 due to some guests having pet allergies. Our cleaning crew would need to provide a different type of deep cleaning when there has been a pet staying.
***The pet isn’t allowed to be left unattended in the loft under any circumstances*** There are cameras outside of the Loft to confirm these rules are met.

– Injuries: Not responsible for injuries on the property.

– Not responsible for left belongings, you are encouraged to have your own travelers insurance so that you are covered.

– Smoking: If you or guests need to smoke, it must be done outside on the stairs or sidewalk with the door closed.

– Late check outs: This is not permitted unless approved in advance. The reason is sometimes there are same day checks and the Loft has to be prepared for the next guest. Check in is at 3pm for the following guests.

**CLEANING / DAMAGES***

– Biohazards: Remediation of such: blood, vomit, excrement, other bodily fluids, raw meats, etc…

– No open flame can be used

– Guests must leave the space in the same condition that it was found

– Guests will be held responsible for any damages incurred with Furniture, Electronics, walls, appliances, etc…

***The items above are house rules and if any guest breaks these rules, this could result in IMMEDIATE removal without refund***

Garbage dumpster is located on the corner.

We have the following for your entertainment:

• A Smart TV in the living room and in the bedroom
• We offer Direct tv, Netflix, and other streaming services. Feel Free to log into your own streaming service for your own organized content.

In the cabinet adjacent to the living room we provide:

Need to get a little work done?  There is also an electric raising desk with monitor and desk chair.

Nest Thermostat

The thermostat that controls the A/C and heat is located on the wall to the right of the black shelving where the plates and glasses are located. You can change the temperature by rotating the dial. You can change the mode (heat or cool) by pressing on the screen and rotate the dial in order to get to the correct setting.

Operating The Gas Range

To operate the gas burners, push in and turn the knob to the Lighting label.  You’ll hear the gas range clicking as it attempts to light the burner.  Hold it on this position until you see the flame at which time continue to turn the dial to your desired heating level (high to low).

Refrigerator

If you hear light beeping, that means one of the refrigerator doors isn’t completely closed.

Dishwasher

There could be a light beeping sound that could be once every 10 – 20 seconds. That means the dishwashing or draining phase hasn’t completed. You would need to press the start button again and close the dishwasher door so that it could properly finish.

Check-in time commences at 3:00 PM unless alternative arrangements are made in advance.

Prior to your arrival, we will dispatch an access code to the door either earlier on check-in day or upon your arrival at the loft. Your access code will commence functioning at the date and time of check-in and cease to operate upon checkout.

You will receive additional messages prior to your arrival until 12:00 PM on your arrival day.

Your packing list will be contingent upon the season and your interests. Many guests choose to stay with us for convenient access to New York City, including concerts at venues such as Prudential Center, MetLife Stadium, NJPAC, and Red Bull Stadium.

Essential items include:

• Home or portable chargers
• Necessary medications (Pharmacy is conveniently located within a five-minute walk from the Loft)

Many restaurants require a short walk from the nearest parking lot, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Most restaurants in this neighborhood are within a ten-minute walk.
